The Garmin GPSMAP 276C Marine Satellite navigation System is an all-in-one navigator that is perfect for
land and water as well. This device features a 3.8”, 256-colour TFT display that helps to read data even in bright sunlight. Base map is provided for easy navigation. It also provides turn-by-turn directions with its auto routing feature.
While navigating through waters, the unit is exceptionally helpful; Garmin’s marine cartography provides Autoroute basemap for easy and quick sailing through unknown waters. This device has the capability to accept both pre-programmed as well as user programmed data cards for offshore activities like fishing in inland lakes.
The screen of the device has a resolution of 80 x 320 pixels and has dimensions of 5.7 x 3.2 x 1.9 inches. It provides storage capacity for 3,000 user waypoints and 50 reversible routes. This is a WAAS enabled 12 parallel channel GPS receiver.
This Garmin satellite navigation system supports external NMEA sources to provide details on water depth, temperature and speed through two serial interfaces. It also features a new navigation tool, named the Course Deviation Indicator (CDI) that is normally used in aircrafts, but now usable in our marine environment. This technology helps boats from swerving off course. An adjustable quad helix-receiving antenna is provided, that has the capability for remote antenna.
This device also supports fast USB-PC interface to transfer maps. It uses a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery for its operation or even a standard 110V AC plug. Garmin GPSMAP 276C Marine GPS System is thus an efficient product that can be used both in offshore and onshore activities as well.
