in any kind of adventure without getting lost anywhere. The in-built 3-axis electronic compass, a barometric pressure altimeter, barometer and thermometer enhance its usage and viability.
This rugged and rubber protected device has a small size of 56mm x 119mm x 33mm. Built-in maps are stored in the 8MB memory and the additional 8MB free space provided can store up to 500 points of interest, 20 routes and 5 track log memory. SD cards are the alternatives for storing additional amount of data. A Hi-speed data transfer USB port is integrated in the device.
With the Magellan Map Send software, you can add information about the streets, maps or other landmarks. To download caches directly to your GPS system, Magellan Geocache Manager option is utilized and the data management is similar to the PC-style file memory system.
The position formats are Latitude/Longitude, Universal Transverse Mercator and Military Grid Reference System. It provides the GPS functions like electronic compass, bearing, distance, elevation, heading, ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival), speed, ETE (Estimated Time Enroute), time and date. German, UTM, Irish, MGRS, Swiss, Swedish, Finnish, USNG, French, OSGB and Lat/Lon grids are present in the device. The16 colour display with size of 36mm x 43mm and resolution of 160 x 120 brings out superb display clarity. You can travel for nearly 17 hours without worrying about recharging the battery. It comes with integrated Li-ion battery.
