Garmin GPSMAP 555s Marine GPS System has a 12 channel receiver. It is WAAS competent. A DGPS ready is also facilitated. Its accuracy details are position-15m, velocity-0.05m/second, position – 3 m (with WAAS). Its update rate is 1/second. The interface offered is NMEA 0183.
The aerial is built-in for this product. Other features include an option for external GPS aerial connection, alarm and 2D / 3D map perspective. The included maps are of Ireland and the United Kingdom. The included software is Garmin worldwide marine base map. The compatible GPS software is blue chart g2 vision. The cold acquisition time is 45seconds while warm time is 15 seconds.
