The satellite navigation unit is compatible with the new-generation Garmin Bluechart G2 series marine cartography. Garmin GPSMAP 292C GPS System has an enhanced worldwide with base-map that offers better shorelines resolution, interstates and major highways, roads and surface features. It is a major step forward in nautical chart-plotting. It helps the user to know the exact location on their journey.
The display of the satellite navigation is made of TFT which has the size of 5 inch. The measurement of TFT display in width is 3.0” with height of 4.0” and 5.0” diagonally. The display is clear and made with the support of 256 colours. The user can read the options on the display in the sunlight clearly with the support of the anti glare feature. The display offers exceptional resolution of 234 x 320 pixel, a fast redraw rate and improved graphics. The product has CCFL back-light for display and keypad to operate the option of the product.
The Garmin GPSMAP 292C Sat Nav system is a friendly unit and a chain of features in it. It stores 3,000 way-point, multi-routes, retrace-able tracks, it also includes alarms and more. These features help the user to have happy and safe journey to any destinations. A mariner’s-eye-view 3D map point of view is available with the newer Blue-chart G2 software option.
Garmin GPSMAP 292C Colour GPS Chartplotter has a built-in receiving antenna or it has GA 29 remote GPS antenna with 30ft cable. The satellite navigation product has a mounting bracket with tilt or swivel; it consists of protective front cover to protect the display screen. It is provided with quick reference guide. The product is pre-loaded with over 15 user-interface languages. It stores 3,000 way-points and 50 reversible routes with up to 300 points each.
The user can set alarm timing in the product for anchor drag, arrival, off-course, proximity way-point, clock, low battery voltage and GPS (Globule Positioning System) accuracy. It has a graphically display positioning data with DSC- equipped VHF radios. It also has a power down backup of settings in which customer settings are not lost when the unit is turned off. The user can transform the backup data to blank data card. NMEA (National Marine Electronics Association) has 0183 input / output.
